Concrete Aggregates

Both coarse and fine aggregates are used in concrete.

• Coarse aggregate — crushed stone (gravel)

• Fine aggregate — sand

Aggregates form a strong framework that can withstand significant loads.
The type of aggregate, its size, and proportion determine the grade (strength class) of the concrete.
